The Challenge was set, the course mapped and the boats were at the ready! The anticipation of what he had let himself in for, and the challenge ahead, began to set in.
In early July Daniel joined a friend and his work colleagues to take part in the Bowman Riley Big Row Challenge. A mammoth challenge of canoeing 21 miles the length of Lake Windermere (and back), the equivalent distance of the Channel Crossing, taking approximately 7 hours to compete.
Over £2500 was raised by the event and will be donated to Skipton based charity SELFA. Who hold regular workshops, activities and days out for disabled, vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the local area. They make a huge difference to these children’s lives by letting then be children.
